*promised to myself fun time's gonna be over at 8. Let's see if i can do that.*

I don't think someone with a character like me would be down to write diaries for such a long time like this. I remember when i had my first diary, it was a small brown-violet notebook with a yellow chicken printed on the cover. I wrote what happened in it, like a time table. I wrote about my breakdown when my 6th grade crush heartlessly denied my invitation to my birthday party. People usually say those who write diaries are likely to be mentally ill. I agree. I'm not that normal to begin with. But people also say those who write diaries are usually a bit dreamy. And look at me. Do i look dreamy to you?
My shameful little secret is that, although i curse and i act tough, i love beauty with all my heart. I'm a professional journal writer, and trust me, you've got to have skills to write diaries, i take photograph, i save up photographs, i have a lot of accessories, i watch and enjoy the beautiful scenes in movies, get emotional in front of colors, get goosebumps when i listen to a greatly sad song, i love the coffee shop's leather sofa, i love beautiful coffee shops, i love polka dots, stripes, Christian Dior, Louboutins,

I made this blog the first day of high school. September 9th, 2008. Anger drove me here, mostly. Blogs, diaries, notes, they're always the evidence of your youth, your growth in thoughts. I stupidly deleted my old one, wiping out all the junior high memories, ugliest and most hurtful pictures of my life. But not anymore. I solemnly swear i will never delete this blog. Thank you for storing myself in here.

Where The Wild Things Are - 4/5

The story is based on the children's book published in 1963. Plot:

"The book tells the story of Max, who one evening plays around his home making "mischief" in a wolf costume. As punishment, his mother sends him to bed without supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest and sea grows out of his imagination, and Max sails to the land of the Wild Things. The Wild Things are fearsome-looking monsters, but Max conquers them by "staring into all their yellow eyes without blinking once", and he is made "the king of all wild things", dancing with the monsters in a "wild rumpus". However, he soon finds himself lonely and homesick and he returns home to his bedroom where he finds his supper waiting for him still hot."

An interesting touch about this movie is that it confuses audience whether Max is on his real adventure or it's just his imagination. When not getting used to it, i used to be a bit annoyed about this feature, but now i find it quite interesting as not only the imagination of the characters but ours also soar. One compliment goes to Max Records for playing the role excellently. The movie passed the line for children's movie, making it an adult's movie in the shape of a kid's tale. I think the reason why they did that was because in the whole, the movie was placed in a not very bright and colorful display and not as easy to watch as Disney's creations. I was really shocked when Carol ripped the arm out of Douglas and nearly burst out crying when it came to the scene when Douglas placed a stick where his arm used to be.

Although having said that it was not a very colorful movie, there were some rather photogenic scenes that you would wish to capture. And those scenes made the movie special. I really love the friendship between Carol and Max, that they loved each other by heart despite being different in every way. After all, it's the love that connects people.

Don't watch it when you're sleepy, you might get bored of it, which is such a shame because this is a really worth watching movie.

What I've been doing lately.

I haven't had time to do any writing, haven't had time to complete, or remember the music article i left off a while ago. I was kind of dragged on to the studying and complications that come along. So, here are the things i have been doing in the past 2 weeks:
  • Studying. For real. Well, makes sense. You can smell the intension from the teachers' facial expressions.
  • Stopped listening to indie. Which wore me down a lot. Because good indie takes time to search, i don't have time for that. That's why i've been sticking with The Morning Benders and OneRepublic pretty much for the whole 2 weeks.
  • Made a list of movies in need of watching. Last last week was Breakfast at Tiffany's, last week was Where The Wild Things Are, don't know what i'll watch this week. So far i've watched Pearl Harbor, which was absolutely epic. I haven't watched that movie for over 10 years, this time even better than last time.
  • Considering between 10 Things I Hate About You and Gone With The Wind.
  • Thinking when it comes to movies, i have SO much to talk about!
  • Might as well recommend the two movies i've watched later with some cool albums i've left out from last time.
  • Made friends with a brown dog today when i was buying a bottle of water. He only let me shake his head because i gave him the popcorn i couldn't finish, still it was good (:
  • Got 85 in the first English test. Wasn't happy with it at all, and had real intension of tearing the paper into pieces in front of the teacher. Thank God i didn't do it and did the preposition exercise instead, adding 10 points into the test, 95. Ka-ching!
  • I did a very very very very very bad thing today! OK here it goes. I was doing the 6th test in the Advanced English class today and got caught up with a really weird piece of reading. The piece looked like it was ripped off in the middle of a book or something, didn't make sense at all! Then i borrowed Penny's phone to google it. And guess what, i didn't find what i wanted. I found what i needed instead. THE WHOLE KEY TO THE EXACT SAME TEST I WAS DOING! I tapped Penny and we laughed silently for so long, then, ... What do you expect us to do? We finished the test in an hour and a half, three times faster than a normal one, and promised to each other this was, and will be the last time we'll ever do something like this.
  • Do you know the consequences if we ever got caught? We would be kicked out of the Advanced English team, would be so humiliated in front of everyone we know.
  • John Mayer deleted his twitter. I guess i was a tad bit mad about him i stopped listening to his music. Why did he even do that? He was one of my very first follow-ee, always smart and secretly funny, always inspirational. Goddamn it!
  • Next Thursday i'll get a day off. I love staff meetings!
