dig my ditches in the golden sun

Julie/Julia Project.

Do you know what i really need? Short-term goals. I'm superbly impatient and have a habit of never following through, so unless there are appealing prices await, i never finish what i started. Just look at my storyboard. I must have started 20+ stories since i could remember, but they were all abandoned, or sometimes when i got too frustrated with myself, i deleted them unregretfully. That's the worst. My problem is, i get excited all in one time, and when the excitement wears out and i don't see the enthusiasm doing the work, i simply stop. With no further thinking.
Therefore, short-term goals are exactly what i need.

First, with books. I've only finished reading ONE book out of 4 that i myself had ordered. Thus far i still have Atonement, which is extremely hard to read with my foreign language ability, Life Of Pi, with a very nice cover and no words accomplished, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which is not one of the books i'd ordered but mom bought it for me against my will and it's been underneath the pile of books on my bed forever.
But here's the thing, i don't have time. Next Thursday there's a massive Lit exam, that the school likes to call 'pre-test' that helps us gain confidence and familiarize us with the questions. And i kind of promised to myself not to get a bad mark at this. So, anything that needs to be done has to be done after Thursday.
This is not an excuse. This is a legitimate reason.

Second, i cannot procrastinate on buying new pairs of jeans. All of my jeans are either completely worn out and stiffened up, or overly torn (by me, sadly). And i need new jeans.
But, my leg size aren't actually to the fashion companies' favor. I've been seeking over-sized jeans, so far, no luck. The ones that fit me were awfully hideous, and the pretty ones are the ones that are going to turn torn if i ever fit in.

And, i need to save up for an iPod. I kind of wanted to buy the sixth generation iPod nano, but after reading numerous reviews about the batteries problem, i'm having second thoughts. Probably it's just best sticking with the fourth generation. Best design and no wasteful features. I mean, really, who needs a camera-iPod when they already have a camera? And i've experienced problems with iPods that carry too many features. Stick to simplicity. Someone told me that.

So, basically we have three goals: read a book, buy new jeans and save up for an iPod. But first, i have a major goal to achieve, Thursday. You have no idea how important this test is for me. I have to bring it like snap so that the teacher won't hate me anymore.
I so very don't like school.

P/S: i love Jakob Dylan's album Seeing Things. Thinking of writing a review, but i can't promise anything.
