my stardust melody

I tell you, people could be jerks sometimes, the entire society is crowded with jerk-offs. After school i went out to the gift shop to get the ring i told you about, and i think everyone was looking at me. When i got home i found out, my backpack zippers had been open the entire time! Nobody told me, thank God nothing was stolen!

I've been listening to a lot of music lately, Bob & Jakob Dylan, Wallflowers, and some Bublé. I must say, i never gave Michael my full attention although i somewhat acclaimed myself to be a Bublé fan. I was looking for something in my room the other day listening randomly to his album Crazy Love and found out, it wasn't half bad. Maybe i did misjudge the album just because of the singles he's released, the music's got a very Sinatra atmosphere. Although comparing Michael Bublé to Frank Sinatra would be a little uneven because i think Michael's voice doesn't quite have the depth that has become recognizable to Sinatra, he did his best to keep up his forte and brings up the jazz vibe into this crazy and messed-up music industry to an extent. My only regret is that i didn't give time to listen thoroughly to this album at first, as it has a fresh take on classical orchestra and jazzy acapella intros. This is a better touch on the album comparing to MB or Call Me Irresponsible which, i think, has focused too much on the bluesy sounds. 4/5.

Do you know who, of all the artists out there, should release an acoustic album? McFly. I'm not being fangirl-ly and say that, but seriously, their live performances always top the studio versions. Guitar skills and voice combination of Tom Fletcher and Danny (♥) Jones make the songs fly up to whatever they should be composed for. And screw the R&B, rhythmic, club-mixes! Ew! Whoever came up with that idea should be rewarded a seat in the electric chair.

Okay, enough procrastination. Back to Geography exercise (which i'm googling the answers and i swear, google knows everything).

Julie/Julia Project.

Do you know what i really need? Short-term goals. I'm superbly impatient and have a habit of never following through, so unless there are appealing prices await, i never finish what i started. Just look at my storyboard. I must have started 20+ stories since i could remember, but they were all abandoned, or sometimes when i got too frustrated with myself, i deleted them unregretfully. That's the worst. My problem is, i get excited all in one time, and when the excitement wears out and i don't see the enthusiasm doing the work, i simply stop. With no further thinking.
Therefore, short-term goals are exactly what i need.

First, with books. I've only finished reading ONE book out of 4 that i myself had ordered. Thus far i still have Atonement, which is extremely hard to read with my foreign language ability, Life Of Pi, with a very nice cover and no words accomplished, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which is not one of the books i'd ordered but mom bought it for me against my will and it's been underneath the pile of books on my bed forever.
But here's the thing, i don't have time. Next Thursday there's a massive Lit exam, that the school likes to call 'pre-test' that helps us gain confidence and familiarize us with the questions. And i kind of promised to myself not to get a bad mark at this. So, anything that needs to be done has to be done after Thursday.
This is not an excuse. This is a legitimate reason.

Second, i cannot procrastinate on buying new pairs of jeans. All of my jeans are either completely worn out and stiffened up, or overly torn (by me, sadly). And i need new jeans.
But, my leg size aren't actually to the fashion companies' favor. I've been seeking over-sized jeans, so far, no luck. The ones that fit me were awfully hideous, and the pretty ones are the ones that are going to turn torn if i ever fit in.

And, i need to save up for an iPod. I kind of wanted to buy the sixth generation iPod nano, but after reading numerous reviews about the batteries problem, i'm having second thoughts. Probably it's just best sticking with the fourth generation. Best design and no wasteful features. I mean, really, who needs a camera-iPod when they already have a camera? And i've experienced problems with iPods that carry too many features. Stick to simplicity. Someone told me that.

So, basically we have three goals: read a book, buy new jeans and save up for an iPod. But first, i have a major goal to achieve, Thursday. You have no idea how important this test is for me. I have to bring it like snap so that the teacher won't hate me anymore.
I so very don't like school.

P/S: i love Jakob Dylan's album Seeing Things. Thinking of writing a review, but i can't promise anything.

Yoghurt cup #33

  • There's nothing much to talk about. I actually don't even wanna update anything since there's nothing special.
  • I've been burying myself in a pile of schoolwork. Not very nice.
  • I haven't gone out in the city for a month or so i think.Basically because i'm just gonna go to the places i've been a thousand times.
  • I just crave for a Coffee Bean. Wish there were a shop right next to my house.
  • I haven't even taken any new photos. I'm sighting this ring from the gift shop in front of the school. When i get the ring, i'll take some photos.
  • Haven't even feed the fish in here.
  • Ordered a "Stay strong Japan" tee. It should be here by April 6th.
  • Playlist: Camera Obscura, Jakob Dylan, The Wallflowers, Adele & a liiiittle bit of McFly.
  • That's it. There's. Absolutely. Nothing. To. Talk. About.

Yoghurt cup #32

  • Watching Remember Me, thinking about the last time i've had a yoghurt cup.
  • My package of books and CDs will arrive on Monday, officially. You have no idea how excited i am to grasp a hold of those 7 books. And the McFly DVD.
  • I think i scored 100+ in the Advanced Test, depending on whether they wanna count my answers since according to The Boss, my markings were invalid. If they don't count, my marks are gonna drop to 50-. Which is great.
  • New target. 7.5. Pointy hair. I've stooped this low.
  • Monday was yesterday. The package arrived. 4 books, a CD and a DVD. You just simple don't use words to describe my feelings when i saw those precious lying at the dining table. And i practically slept with them last night.
  • I haven't had the guts to unseal the Continuum CD. For one, i know by heart every single song in it, no bonus tracks, no hidden songs, 12 spherical songs, from Waiting On The World To Change to I'm Gonna Find Another You. It's perfect, just holding it in my hands. I didn't expect myself to feel that way at all. It feels unreal, until now.
  • The McFly DVD was ah-mazing. It felt as if i was a part of the concert. Singing silently to all of the songs, seeing Danny being a total god on stage with the don't-know-where-it-came-from cravat (i mean, seriously, a cravat huh Danny??) and his breathtaking, crowd-moving voice of his. It felt to me the entire DVD was about Danny.
  • I need consultant. Fast.
  • Reading Life As A Poser. Kind of fun, since i found out the lovebug of the story is named Danny. This is getting good, haha.
  • Waiting anxiously for the results that may be announced today. Or tomorrow. I need a good day at home to eat the results as they come out. Too many questions popped out of my head since yesterday, since the call from Mrs. H. All what-ifs, of course. I've refreshed the webpage about 15 times since this morning. Waiting is not my forte, if there were such a subject at school, i'd have to take a summer class for sure.
  • Yesterday's books: The Last Song, Atonement, Life Of Pi and The Little Prince. I cannot wait until i get started with any of them. I don't even know which one i would start first. Mom said she found out a place in the city where i could buy paperback books with reasonable price, since you know, inflation is a dream killer.
  • I'm supposed to finish my Lit exercise and mail it to her right now, but, i'm not being a slacker and i did try to do it for the past few days, the exercise is too hard to handle. Cam even said so. But, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
  • How about i put on other people's photos here. It's getting quite boring, the blog with my photos. I'm not the one who owns a Nikon D5000.
